The Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day, cancer will be eliminated.

OVERNIGHT THEME LAPS

Start looking in your closets and attics so you will have the coolest Theme Lap outfit!

12:00-Poker Lap
We'll bring the cards and after each walker get 5 cards - best
hand wins.

12:30-Hawaiian Lap
Haul out those grass skirts, leis and Hawaiian shirts you packed away.

1:00-Ugly Neck Tie Lap
We all have that ugly tie stuffed in back of our closet, dig it out.

1:30-Red/White/Blue
Let’s show our pride.

2:00-Nautical Lap
Sailors, fisherman, anything that has to do with the water.

2:30-Black Tie Attire
Thought you'd never wear that bridesmaid dress, now's your chance.

3:00-Bingo Lap
Like BINGO? Well this lap is for you.  We will give you your BINGO card it is up to you to be the first one to“Black Out” your card.

3:30-Fan Fare
Show us your favorite sports team.

4:00-Country Girls and Boys
Cowboy boots and hats!

4:30-It’s The 60’s Again
Find all those groovy cloths - they are back in style.

5:00-Trick or Treat
And you thought Halloween was in October?

5:30-Pajama Lap
This includes blankies, as well as your favorite stuffed animal.

 

2008 Relay For Life BASCAR RALLY

9:00 A.M. Saturday Morning

In keeping with this year's theme, we will be holding the first ever BASCAR RALLY on Saturday morning! What is a BASCAR, you ask? It is simple . . .make yourself a "cardboard car" and be creative! There is only one rule: NO MOTORS - these cars are feet powered only. On Saturday morning at 9:00 A.M. we will gather at the starting line and have a non-competitive race around the track!

Kids' Relay Saturday Begins at 9:30 A.M.

Fun, Games, Contests and Prizes!

2008 Campsite Judging

Campsites will be judged on Friday night. The top three most creative sites will be announced on Saturday morning. Get those creative thoughts going!

  • Click Here to download a form to purchase a Luminaria for this years Relay! Be sure to turn the form in early, the deadline to make sure the name is read at the Luminaria ceremony is May 5th. So bring the completed forms to the next team captain meeting or mail directly to ACS!
  • Your planning committee is already hard at work hoping to make the 2008 Relay the best yet! We have set some lofty goals for this year, but we believe they are all within our reach.
